I was looking for something to store manila folders for our home files, kept in our kitchen for easy access. The size on these baskets is just right...holds all the folders, even with materials sticking out a bit on the edges. (I'm not using the "hanging file" feature but it should work just as well.) Another review of this product said that the lids knocked off easily. Mine are designed so that doesn't happen...lids slip down onto the top edge and stay put. We have these stored under a butcher block table. Both are almost full; handles have been sturdy enough as we move them in and out regularly. So far, it's been exactly what we wanted.
